China-MENA Research Fellow (Central Asia Axis)
The Carboun Institute is looking for a technically competent and policy-driven policy researcher to support the delivery of the climate diplomacy project focusing on China-MENA-Central Asia triangle.
The ideal candidate for this project-based engagement will combine technical expertise with policy and diplomacy analysis and possess convening and project management skills to ensure the timely completion of deliverables under this project.

Head of Research
The Carboun Institute is looking for a motivated, technically-competent, and policy-driven researcher to lead its research work with a focus on energy transition and green industry.
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the MENA region’s decarbonization and green industrialization agenda by combining technical analysis, scenario modeling, and policy design. It aims to provide actionable strategies for reducing carbon emissions across energy and industrial sectors, with a particular focus on accelerating renewable energy deployment, advancing low-carbon fuels such as green hydrogen, and enabling industrial decarbonization.
Associate Fellows
The Carboun Institute welcomes expressions of interest from researchers and policy practitioners who wish to contribute to our mission of advancing energy transition, green industrialization, climate resilience, and climate diplomacy across the MENA region. Our Associate Fellows are an integral part of Carboun’s intellectual community. They collaborate with our core team on a project or publication basis, enriching our research and policy work with diverse disciplinary expertise and regional perspectives.
The Associate Fellowship provides a flexible, non-residential affiliation that allows experienced voices to engage with our projects, represent Carboun in regional and international forums, and contribute to shaping informed, evidence-based dialogue on climate and energy policy.
